A gift bigger than meals.

Help build a stronger and healthier community. Support NorthPoint’s March Food & Fund Drive.

This year, we’re not letting COVID bring us down. Unfortunately, there is a spiking, unprecedented need in our community calling for an unprecedented response. We have had to pivot our operations to safely serve our neighbors. The pandemic is disproportionately impacting lower-income communities. School closures, changes in work schedules and social isolation are layering extra burdens on our neighbors. We need your help to provide nutritious food and services that support self-sufficiency.

No one should be hungry. Your gift will provide healthy meals to over 1,000+ households each month. 100% of donations go directly to hunger-relief for children, hardworking families, struggling seniors and more.

This year’s campaign: March 1 – April 11

This year’s goal: raise 75,000 pounds of food and dollars

Ways you can support us during this year’s March Campaign:

Make a cash donation to NorthPoint’s Food Shelf – cash donations allow us to purchase items that can’t be donated, such as milk, eggs and meat; but most importantly, each dollar donated has at least 3 times the buying power because we can buy food at bulk prices. A $10 donation can provide enough food for 25 meals.

  • Mail: NorthPoint Food Shelf, 1256 Penn Ave. N., Suite 5300, Minneapolis, MN 55411

Host a Food & Fund Drive - this is a great way for organizations and groups to contribute positively to our community!

NorthPoint also relies on food donations from individuals, and even local gardeners to help stock our food shelf. See our “most needed items” sheet for ideas.

Food Drop Off – increase the value of your donation by delivering it directly to:

  • NorthPoint’s Food Shelf - 1835 Penn Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55411. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • If you expect to bring in a large amount, please call ahead at 612 767-9175 so we can prepare for your delivery.
  • You may also call to request a pick-up if you are unable to deliver.

Last year, NorthPoint’s Community Food Shelf provided 590,324 pounds of nutritious food to over 15,425 individuals and families fighting hunger in our area.
